Kunekune Pigs
We share our homestead and our lives with fifty+ Kunekune pigs - give or take depending on who has litters at any given time. There are always a lot of friendly faces here ready to share a story, a snuffle, or a piece of squash whenever you come to visit.
Icelandic Chickens
The breed that started it all for us! Our Icelandic flock began with six day-old chicks, and has grown and shrunk and grown and shrunk and grown again as the years have gone by. One consistent is how much we adore these personable and personality-filled birds.
Farm Dogs
No homestead or farm would be complete without the loyal and hard working farm dog. Whether a herder, a guardian, lurcher, or heinz 57, they are a staple companion and crew member. We currently call one such pooch family.
Wildlife
It's not uncommon to find many of our less domestic friends wandering or flying through the homestead on a regular basis. From megafauna like bears and moose to the resident ravens there is never a shortage of life to witness and to share with.
Humans
Yes, there are even a few of us hu-people here on the farm. I don't think we are nearly as interesting as the rest of the residents, but we are here just the same.
